Meet the Team

Senior Management

Felix Hartmann - Managing General Partner & Chief Investment Officer

Felix Hartmann is the founder of Hartmann Digital Assets Fund (HDAF), a multi-strategy crypto asset hedge fund. Prior to HDAF, Hartmann has lived at the intersection of tech and investments for over a decade. Since 2012 Hartmann has been an equities and derivatives trader. Few years later Hartmann had added his first private equity deals via angel investments in the tech space (notably Everipedia ~25x). From 2016-2017 Hartmann briefly served as CEO at FundThis, a crowdfunding portal that had built integrations with BitPay and Coinbase to be the worlds first reward/equity crowdfunding portal with virtual currency integrations. Being an early mover in the digital assets and virtual currency space, Hartmann was sought out by several startups as well as major merchant banks like Forbes & Manhattan, to help them at integrating blockchain solutions into their legacy systems.

A native technologist, Hartmann had been developing websites and working on robotics since the age of 9, at a time when that was still rather uncommon. In 2017 he was invited by Consensys to further his study in Ethereum Development. Though his technical skills took backseat to his financial and managerial strengths in the 2010’s, it has proven a powerful asset in reviewing digital projects from their core, their code.

Hartmann has spoken at countless industry events like Blockchain Connect, Blockchain Beach, and even a panel on Blockchain and the Fine Arts during New York Art Week, as well as having his thoughts, insights and predictions featured anywhere from Forbes to BuzzFeed.

A futurist by heart, Hartmann lives to help the world progress into a thriving utopia and steer it away from a potentially hazardous path of corruption and centralization.
